Dale Killmeyer has over 40 years of experience as a financial professional including as chief executive officer, chief financial officer, treasurer, family office executive and strategic/financial advisor in a variety of industries. Dale brings this experience and his passion for serving families and business owners to Stone Pier Capital. Dale has focused his career on serving lower middle market companies (firms with less than $100mm in enterprise value) and their stakeholders—the market that Stone Pier Capital primarily serves.
Dale began his career with a large, international CPA Firm, now Deloitte. After five years he joined the Foster Investment Company, a closely held investment company, along with its affiliate venture capital firm, Fostin Capital Corp. It was here that Dale learned the institutional investment business.
Upon leaving Foster, Dale formed an advisory firm providing CPA, strategic consulting, and capital markets services to business owners. One of his larger assignments was a project called Atlantic Baking Group (“ABG”). ABG was the restart of Nabisco’s Pittsburgh operations as a private label cracker manufacturer. Dale was successful in securing the equity from a leading private equity group and the majority of the senior debt from G.E. Capital. As a result of the successful capital infusion, Dale was asked to join ABG, first as CFO and then as President, expanding the company into complementary product lines and leading an $80 million acquisition in Chicago before returning to his previous financial consulting and transaction work.
After leaving ABG, Dale spearheaded another capital raise assignment for a company in the construction industry. Upon closing, Dale joined that company as CFO and Director of Operations. Two years later Dale was recruited to join Renaissance Partners (“RP”) a Pittsburgh-based boutique investment banking firm. After working with an expanding client of RP and closing a significant credit facility in the midst of the credit crisis, Dale joined that company in 2009 as CFO and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions. Thereafter, Dale decided to focus solely on transaction work and in October 2010 he co-founded International Capital Networks, LLC (“iCap”), an affiliate of iNetworks, LLC. In 2012, Dale and Charlie Schliebs, a co-founder of iNetworks and fellow principal in iCap, formed Stone Pier Capital Advisors.
Dale believes in giving back to the community, having served 14 years on the Board of Southwinds, Inc. a non-profit that provided housing and care to physically and developmentally challenged adults. Dale served in a number of roles, including Board Chair, Finance Chair and as a key participant on two fundraising committees. Dale served as a Board member of Baptist Homes Society, a highly respected senior care organization for five years, where he served as Chair of the Finance Committee. Dale has also served as an Advisory Board member and Executive in Residence of PowerLink, a nonprofit founded by women business owners and entrepreneurs who struggled to find mentors and advisors to coach them as their businesses began to grow. Dale also volunteers his time in a number of charitable organizations including Mary’s Place, Stephen’s Ministry, St. Martin de Porres Ministry, and Knights of Columbus. Dale is also a member of Locking Arms Men, a Christian Men’s organization, and the Founder of C.S.C.M. (Cigar Smoking Christian Men), a non-denominational bible study group. Dale is a graduate of Robert Morris University, with a B.S. in Accounting.
